Welcome to Whole WhEAT Wellness – I’m Carrie Searle

So as I sit here, drinking my Tea, thinking about the how to of blogging, I realize that the only way to find the how is to just begin. So let me start by saying that it is my passion and purpose to help people who are heading straight toward a retirement of diabetes to realize that they can actually shift directions and thrive in their golden years – even if genetics aren’t in your corner!

My name is Carrie and I am a 50 year old, certified Health and Life coach. I have always known the importance of a healthy lifestyle, but I haven’t always lived that way! As far back as I can remember, My weight went up and down almost as quickly as fall turns to winter in the mid West. Diet after diet and always being reminded that I am at a high risk for diabetes and heart disease by every health practitioner I ever saw. Genetics of course! My mom has it all, type 2 diabetes, heart disease, high blood pressure, joint pain… Her famous words “Just you wait Carrie Ann, being over the hill is no fun!”

Well, Long story short — for right now, I have made it my life’s mission NOT to be defined by my genetics and educate others to do the same! Let me start by saying Welcome and I hope this is the beginning of a long friendship! May you find in this some useful tips, recipes, photos, and great reviews on movies, books, etc. that can help you on your amazing journey to a whole food, whole body, whole mind and whole soul whole life! wishes till next time!
